Forward Deployed Growth Associate
Role Description
Cyber Labs Solutions helps companies modernize manual workflows with AI-native automation, internal tools, integrations, dashboards, and custom software. We are looking for a part-time Forward Deployed Growth Associate to help build a focused pipeline of qualified clients.
This is not a generic spam-outreach role. You will research companies, identify likely workflow pain, find relevant decision makers, support founder-led sales, and help book high-quality discovery calls. The right person is organized, curious, persistent, and able to understand enough about operations and technology to recognize a real business problem.
Schedule and compensation:
- Part-time, remote in the United States.
- San Diego/California preferred but not required.
- Expected 5-10 hours per week to start.
- $30-$40/hour. Performance bonus may be available for qualified meetings held and signed client work, subject to a written bonus/commission agreement.
Responsibilities:
- Research target accounts and identify likely operational workflow pain.
- Find relevant decision makers and buyer paths.
- Draft and send approved outreach through approved channels.
- Maintain CRM records, lead notes, follow-ups, and pipeline status.
- Support founder-led discovery and proposal preparation.
- Track outreach results and recommend better segments or messaging.
- Protect clean separation from any current employer or third-party confidential information.
Good fit:
- Experience in B2B sales development, business development, account research, recruiting, consulting, customer success, RevOps, or founder-led sales support.
- Clear writing and strong research instincts.
- Comfortable with LinkedIn, CRM tools, spreadsheets, and concise prospect notes.
- Able to learn enough about AI workflow automation and software delivery to qualify prospects.
- Authorized to work in the United States if hired as a W-2 employee.
Nice to have:
- Existing familiarity with San Diego/California SMB, professional-services, healthcare, real estate, SaaS, operations, or technology buyers.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

About Forward Deployed Engineering
Forward Deployed Engineers are embedded directly with customers to build custom solutions, integrate products into existing infrastructure, and bridge the gap between product engineering and customer success. The role combines deep technical skills with the ability to operate in client environments and translate business requirements into working software.
Originally pioneered by Palantir, the FDE model has spread across AI, enterprise SaaS, and cloud infrastructure companies. FDEs write production code, architect integrations, train customer teams, and feed product insights back to the core engineering organization. At companies like OpenAI, Salesforce, and Databricks, FDE teams are treated as elite engineering units that can ship custom solutions in days rather than quarters.
Typical FDE stack: Python, TypeScript, SQL, REST/GraphQL APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and increasingly LLM APIs and AI orchestration frameworks. Strong communication and the ability to context-switch between technical and business conversations are as important as coding ability.
