Forward Deployed Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Forward Deployed Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of deploying enterprise solutions, integrating complex systems, and supporting cutting-edge technology initiatives. Your expertise will enable us to deliver seamless digital experiences and robust infrastructure that empower our clients and internal teams alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to identify workflow gaps and rapidly prototype, configure, or build integrations between the core banking platform (e.g., Jack Henry, FIS, Fiserv), digital banking, loan origination, and other third-party systems.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison during fintech/vendor implementations — attending vendor working sessions, writing integration code (APIs, ETL, middleware), and resolving issues on-site or in real time.
• Build and maintain secure data pipelines between systems, ensuring data mapping, reconciliation, and audit trails are accurate.
• Design solutions with compliance requirements embedded from the start (privacy, access controls, audit logging, data retention) rather than retrofitted after deployment.
• Support due diligence, testing, and validation of new vendor technologies prior to production release.
• Document system architecture, data flows, and integration logic for audit, examiner, and internal control purposes.
• Participate in incident response and change management processes for any system it touches.
• Provide training and technical support to end users following deployment.
• Escalate and remediate security or compliance gaps identified during implementation.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree.
• 3+ years of software engineering, systems integration, or solutions engineering experience.
• Experience with artificial intelligence including creating and managing Agents.
• Proficiency with REST/SOAP APIs, SQL, and at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, or similar).
• Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of information security principles (encryption, access controls, secure coding).

Preferred:

• Experience integrating with core banking or financial services platforms preferred.
• Prior experience in banking, credit unions, or fintech.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and vendor API ecosystems.
• Exposure to bank regulatory examinations or information technology audit support.
