Echo (Palantir)
FDE Pulse Glossary
Also: Palantir Echo, Deployment Strategist
Echo is Palantir's internal name for the Deployment Strategist. The Echo immerses in the customer's environment, talks directly to users, identifies the problems worth solving, and owns the relationship. Think of the Echo as an on-site product detective and account manager rolled together.
The Echo pairs with the Delta, Palantir's Forward Deployed Engineer. The Echo decides what is worth building and whether it will actually get used; the Delta builds it. Palantir designed the pairing so the strategy pressure and the engineering pressure are always present and correcting each other.
Because the Echo is business-facing rather than code-facing, it is the closest Palantir equivalent to a Deployment Strategist or Forward Deployed Strategist title elsewhere.
